An Investigator in the Private Security Sector is the main ‘on -the-ground’ operator who conducts inquiries and investigations, gathers information, verifies facts and records findings as relevant to the task. In the course of achieving this purpose, an Investigator executes an assignment based on specified techniques, conducts inquiries and interviews to gather information and submits report.

ASSIGNMENT MANAGER

An Assignment Manager in the Private Security Sector is entrusted with the operational, training and administrative responsibilities of one or more security unit(s) deployed at site(s).Assignment Managers carry out site-specific threats and risks assessment, plan and organize security; help clients in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and site instructions. They are responsible for development of a security plan and deployment of manpower and equipment for executing a security plan. Assignment Managers assess the efficacy of security unit’s guarding operations, training standards and preparedness to deal with emergencies through security officers. Planning, training, deployment, administration, documentation, reporting and liaison are some of the important tasks of assistant managers. Assignment Managers should be intelligent, educated, experienced and capable of handling security operations at site(s). He should possess good communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with the clients and stakeholders. He should establish effective communication channel with site(s) in-charge to monitor security operations.

PERSONAL SECURITY OFFICER

A Personal Security Officer (PSO) is an important job-role associated with maintaining safety and security of the principal(s). With growing threats and risks to personal safety and security, need for employing personal protection is growing in society. Businessmen, industrialists, leaders, celebrities and vulnerable people need to be protected against multifarious threats and risks to their life. Primary responsibility of a PSO is to protect the principal against possible threats. A PSO is required to operate within the confines of the assigned tasks and are required to operate alone or as part of a team both in armed and unarmed roles. PSOs should be physically fit, mentally alert and willing to take risks. He/ she should be adept in the use of firearms, communication equipment, unarmed combat and in administering of first-aid.

A Security officer in the Private Security Sector is a manager, who apart from his own duties has operational and administrative responsibilities towards a security unit. Security Officers organize security as per organizational procedure and site instructions. They are responsible for deployment and utilisation of manpower and resources and managing security operations. They organise security unit’s guarding operations, training and response to emergencies. Reporting and documentation of operations and incidents, training and administration of personnel and maintaining liaison with stakeholders are the important tasks of security officers. Security Officers should be intelligent, educated, physically fit, mentally alert and capable of managing security personnel, equipment and operations independently. They should possess good communication skills and be able to set personal example to motivate their subordinates. In emergencies, a Security Officer should use initiative and get assistance from other agencies to control the situation.

CCTV SUPERVISOR

A CCTV Supervisor in the Private Security Sector is an important job-role. He/she provides protection against threats and risks through surveillance and early warning. As threat and risks to modern living and businesses multiply, the requirement of CCTV surveillance systems and their operators is also increasing. Nowadays, most of the commercial and industrial deployments are equipped with such systems. CCTV Supervisor needs to know the basics of private security, supervision of security unit operations and spectrum of threats and risks to security and safety. CCTV Supervisors observe designated premises through CCTV systems; pick up early indications of problems pertaining to security and safety and respond appropriately by alerting various agencies. CCTV Supervisors should be well-versed with the private security operations and have basic technical aptitude. Proficiency in communication and keen observation would help in thwarting threat and risks to life, property and premises.

A Security Supervisor in the Private Security Sector is the first executive, who apart from his own duties has operational and administrative responsibilities towards a security unit comprising of 6-15 unarmed and the armed security guards.Security Supervisors take over a shift and organizes guarding duties as per organizational procedure and instructions from superiors. They are responsible for deployment of manpower and resources optimally. They allot duties to individuals and supervise their work. Supervisors also carry out security documentation, report security incidents to designated superior and agencies like police, fire and medical, as the case may be. Security Supervisors should be physically fit, mentally alert, educated and capable of handling subordinates. They should possess good communication skills. A supervisor should be able to set personal examples and motivate his/ her security unit. In emergencies, a supervisor should take initiative and get assistance from other agencies to control the situation.

He also has sound knowledge of Market Environment, Government Policies, Systems and Processes of Skilling Industry in India.
Abhishek is keen communicator with an ability to relate to people across all hierarchical levels with excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, strong analytical, problem solving & organisational abilities. He has demonstrated abilities in operations, marketing, customer engagement, proposal design and delivery.

Manager (Enterprise & PR)

Ms. Aaisha is the Manager (Enterprise & Public Relations) at the Security Sector Skill Development Council (SSSDC). She is a Post-Graduate (MBA in HR) from IMT. She has been awarded with Star Performer Award by SSSDC in December, 2014. She is responsible for maintaining effective liaison with concerned Ministries of Government of India related to skilling and with State Controlling Authorities under PSAR ACT 2005. She also handles Marketing & PR related activities for SSSDC. She is also the Spokesperson for stakeholders/TP (Training Providers) affiliation in addition to receiving and screening application for Training Providers as per protocol.

Manager (Special Projects)

Ms Gloria comes from the corporate background with a rich experience of 24 years in a number of varied roles in many top notch multinational companies in New Delhi, Chennai and Gurgaon supporting the senior management. She was also into human resources, recruitments, event management, facility management, health & safety and training. She has done her MBA in HR & Admin and is equipped with certificates on First Aid and Safety. She is currently Manager – Special Projects at SSSDC handling audit and validation of training centers and coordinating on assessments and certifications, managing Academies of Excellence, assisting in development of course content for NSQF, training manuals and processes.

Manager Finance

Gaurav Sachdeva is the Manager-Finance at Security Sector Skill Development Council. He is a qualified chartered accountant from ICAI. He is responsible for the activities of finance, accounts, taxation, and administration department. Prior to security Sector skill Development council, he has handled several projects in the field of accounting, taxation, and finance with various companies like Intertek India, Proptiger Realty, Easy Bill Private Limited.
